Terms of service

Last updated 13 August 2026

These terms govern your use of PromptShield, operated by Aurelio Avila ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Questions: aurelio_11@outlook.it.

What PromptShield does

PromptShield scans text you paste in for common personal data and secrets (emails, phone numbers, card numbers, API keys, and similar) before you share it with an AI tool, and suggests a redacted version. This is a helpful signal, not a guarantee — it uses pattern matching and cannot catch every possible sensitive detail. You're responsible for reviewing what you share, with or without PromptShield's help.

Subscriptions and billing

Acceptable use

Don't use PromptShield to process content that's illegal to possess or share, to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, to abuse the invite system to grant access you haven't paid for, or to violate anyone else's rights.

No warranty

PromptShield is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will catch every sensitive detail in every prompt, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including damages resulting from sensitive information that PromptShield did not detect. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using PromptShield and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the acceptable-use section above.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute not resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Italian courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
